My Story — Abimbola Fernanda Iriekpen Hello, my name is Abimbola Fernanda Iriekpen, although my students affectionately know me as Mrs. Abbie. I am an English Language instructor, private coach, entrepreneur, lifelong learner, and passionate advocate for effective communication and personal development. Teaching, for me, is much more than standing in front of a classroom and explaining grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary. It is about helping people discover their voice, build confidence, communicate effectively, and recognise their own potential. Over the years, I have come to understand that sometimes the most important thing a teacher can give a student is not simply knowledge, but the confidence to use that knowledge. My journey into teaching and coaching has been shaped by my own experiences, my love for communication, and my desire to help others become better versions of themselves. I have always been fascinated by the power of words. The way we speak can influence how people perceive us, how confidently we express our thoughts, and even how we navigate professional and social environments. This understanding has influenced my approach to teaching and eventually inspired me to develop my own educational training services. As an English Language instructor and private coach, I work with learners who want to improve their communication skills, pronunciation, diction, fluency, confidence, and overall use of English. I particularly enjoy working with children because I believe that communication skills developed early can have a lasting impact on a person’s academic, social, and professional life. My students often call me Mrs. Abbie, and I absolutely love the warmth behind the name. Teaching children has taught me that every learner is different. Some children learn quickly through conversation, others respond better to repetition, while some need activities, stories, demonstrations, or encouragement before they become comfortable participating.

I also have a background in customer service and am currently studying Business Management. These experiences have strengthened my patience, active listening, emotional intelligence, professionalism, and ability to communicate effectively with different personalities.
