What are the New Entry-Exit And Immigration Measures in China?


 

Expats (or foreigners) who meet these requirements can apply for permanent residence in China.

Ø  Foreigners with high-level professionals who meet the special needs of the country (recommended by the relevant key departments of China). Their foreign spouses and minor children can also apply.

Ø  Foreign talents of start-up companies in Chinese key industries + a reference letter from the team leaders --- apply for a residence permit (5 years)

Ø  Foreign talents with excellent professional records meeting the special needs of the country --- apply for a long-term visa and residence permit (5 years)

Ø  Foreign talents who have applied for a work residence permit twice in a row + never violate any laws and regulations --- apply for the work residence permit (5 years)

Ø  Foreign students who get a bachelor’s degree (or above) in key Chinese higher education institutions + engage in innovation industries/entrepreneurship activities in China --- apply for a residence permit (2-5 years)

Ø  Foreign students who graduate from internationally renowned universities + work in innovation industries / engage in entrepreneurship activities in China after graduation within 2 years (2 years)

Foreign interns and foreign talents engaged in part-time work

Ø  International students from foreign universities and colleges + Invited by a top Chinese company/institution to temporarily work in China --- apply for an internship visa (1 year)

Ø  Foreign talents working in key domestic universities, scientific research institutes and well-known companies can take a part-time job in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship

 

Measures for foreigners in China whose visa will expire soon

Ø  Expats whose work permit is about to expire but do not have enough time to apply for a new work visa --- use current work permit and related materials to apply for a work residence permit

Ø  Expats can seek help from immigration service centers, like legal aid.
