How to schedule an interview?

Only when an employer accepts your application and sends you an interview invitation, can you schedule an interview on TeacherRecord. Once accepted, your application status will change to "Waiting for Appointment" and you will also receive an email reminding you to schedule an interview.

How to cancel or reschedule an interview?

Teachers can only cancel or reschedule interviews up to 3 hours before the scheduled start time.

Where do interviews take place?

It depends on the recruitment process:

  • On platform: interviews will be conducted on TeacherRecord;
  • Outside the platform: interviews will be conducted outside of TeacherRecord. If you are accepted, your employer will contact you directly through the contacts you provided in your resume.

What is the interview tool?

To attend an interview on TeacherRecord, the interview tool is computer with Chrome browser is needed, and you don't need to download any other software programs. For more details, you can visit the interview support page.

How to use the interview room?

The TeacherRecord virtual classroom can only be accessed through a browser on a computer or a laptop. Tablets or mobile phones are not supported.

  • Once you're in the virtual classroom, make sure to check for a lock icon in the top left corner of your browser and enable your camera and microphone.

  • You can refer to the image below for instructions on how to draw, turn to the next page, give stars to your student(interviewer), send messages, and more.

  • If the employer provided a demo material missing in the interview room, click the file icon in the top right corner and choose the file to display it again.

Can't enter the interview room?

If you can't enter the interview room on TeacherRecord:

  • Verify you're using a computer or laptop. A tablet or phone is not supported for an interview.
  • Verify you have a fast and stable network.
  • Verify your browser has disabled or blocked pop-ups.
  • Verify you're using VPN software. Close your VPN if it is on.

📌 Notice: If you still cannot make it, you can change your browser, network, or computer to try again.

Can't see or hear in the interview room?

If you can't see or hear your employer in the interview room:

  • Verify you're using the correct browser such as Chrome, firefox, etc.
  • Verify your camera or microphone is not physically broken.
  • Verify your browser has allowed your camera or microphone to open.
  • Verify your network is fast and stable.
  • Reenter the interview room or directly restart your computer.

What to do if the interviewer doesn't show up?

If an interviewer doesn't show up on time, here are some suggestions:

  • Wait for 10 minutes. Sometimes interviewers might arrive a few minutes late if their previous interview ran longer than expected.
  • Check the chat box for any messages from the interviewer.
  • Send a polite message to remind the interviewer about the scheduled interview.

📌 Notice: As a job board, we are not aware of the reasons behind an interviewer's absence. However, in such cases, the system will automatically mark them as "Interview Absent".

How to check interview results?

There are two methods to check your interview result:

  • Check your application status on TeacherRecord. If it changes to "Waiting to Accept Offer", your interview is successful.
  • Check your emails. If you have received an offer email from an employer, then your interview is successful.

Job offer

How to receive an offer?

There are three ways to receive an offer:

  • If you pass an interview, you will receive an offer on TeacherRecord.
  • An employer can directly send you an offer on TeacherRecord without an interview.
  • If an employer chose "Outside the platform" as the recruitment process, they may contact you through the contacts in your resume and directly send you an offer outside of TeacherRecord.

Where to check your offers?

When you had a successful Interview and received an offer from an employer, you can enter your teacher account, and find the offer details through: My Applications -> Finished Interviews -> View Offer Details

What to do if you don't accept an offer?

If you don't want to accept an offer, you can click "View Offer Details -> Give Up Offer" to reject this offer. And the employer won't be able to contact you for your privacy protection.

Where to find your onboarding details?

After accepting an offer, you can easily access the onboarding details, including the contacts of your employers through:My Applications -> Finished Interviews -> Check On-boarding Process.

How to contact employers after you accept an offer?

After accepting an offer, you can click on "Check Onboarding Process". Usually, the employer will provide their contact information and outline the next steps. Additionally, your employer will have access to the contact details you provided in your resume.

Your employer doesn't respond after you're hired.

After you're hired, Both you and your employer can access contacts from each other. To receive a faster response, we recommend you to contact your employer ASAP after you accept their offer. If your employer doesn't respond to your messages. you can:

  • Wait for at least 24 hours as there might be a time difference between you and your employer.
  • Try to reach your employer through multiple channels. Generally, your employer will not leave only one contact.
  • Contact the TeacherRecord Support Team. We can try to help you reach out to your employer

Can't enter the onboarding navigation system?

Teacher Record Onboarding Navigation System is created to guide new employees through the onboarding process step by step. If you're unable to access the system with your account, it could be due to a temporary network issue. You can try again later or switch to a different network for another attempt.
