Job Description

Teach engaging 1:1 online English lessons to adult and/or child learners (based in Poland)
Use our provided materials, and interactive tools — no need to build lessons from scratch
Support students in improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, with a strong focus on conversational fluency
Lessons are delivered via Zoom
Maintain consistent communication and a positive rapport with students
Class size: mostly 1:1
Lesson length: typically 45 minutes per lesson
Students are matched to teachers based on availability and compatibility
Opportunities available to teach adults, children, or a mix of both (based on your strengths)
Lessons take place Monday to Friday, 17:00-21:00 SAST (peak hours are a minimum requirement - other hours are available for full time teachers)
Light admin required: basic student notes after each class

Minimum requirements

Nationality:South Africa(Preferred)
Education Required:High School or above
Teaching Certificate:TEFL

Other requirements

Applicants must be based in South Africa (due to company structure and payment logistics) A TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate (minimum 120 hours) is required Must have fluent spoken and written English with a clear, neutral accent (Native Speakers) Previous online teaching experience is a strong advantage, but not essential Must have a stable internet connection, inverter/UPS or backup power to manage loadshedding, and a professional teaching setup (quiet space, neutral background, webcam, quality headset) Available to teach during peak hours — minimum availability from 16:00 to 21:00 SAST, weekdays Confident using digital tools and online platforms (we use Zoom and similar) Excellent communication skills, punctuality, and a genuine passion for teaching Friendly, professional, and able to connect well with students of all ages Willing to learn, take feedback, and be part of a supportive team

Starting rate: R180/hour
Progression available: Intermediate rate: R210/hour Senior teacher rate: R230/hour
