Online AP Environmental Science Teacher

Compensation:
• $16per 50-minute lesson.
• $7 per trial lesson (the first lesson with a student). Subsequent lessons are paid at the full rate.

Teaching Content:
• Teach AP Environmental Science, including ecosystems, biodiversity, populations, earth systems, land and water use, energy resources, pollution, and global environmental change.
• Help students analyze environmental data, interpret graphs, and explain scientific concepts.
• Develop students’ skills in quantitative problem-solving, experimental design, and evaluating environmental solutions.
• Provide assignment feedback and support preparation for AP multiple-choice and free-response questions.

Students:
• Students are minors under the age of 18.

Lesson Format:
• One-to-one online lessons.
• Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.
• Lessons are taught in English.

Working Hours:
Part-time and full-time opportunities are available within 13:00–23:00 China Standard Time (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8).

• Part-time: Provide a 4-hour availability block within the peak teaching window of 18:00–23:00.
• Full-time: Provide 8 hours of availability per day, including 4 hours during the peak teaching window. The remaining 4 hours may be selected flexibly within 13:00–23:00.

Scheduling and Payment:
• Both part-time and full-time teachers are paid for completed lessons.
• Lessons are scheduled based on the availability you provide, so you do not need to manage bookings yourself.

Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of environmental science and familiarity with the AP Environmental Science curriculum.
• A degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, earth science, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly in English and connect them to real-world environmental issues.
• Experience teaching teenagers; AP Environmental Science teaching experience is preferred.
• Reliable internet access and a suitable environment for online teaching.
• Experience with Edmentum, Apex, or PLATO is a plus.
