Compensation:
• $12 per 50-minute lesson.
• $7 per trial lesson (the first lesson with a student). Subsequent lessons are paid at the full rate.
Teaching Content:
• Provide IELTS preparation in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
• Assess students’ current abilities and tailor lessons to their target band scores.
• Teach test-taking strategies, time management, and effective approaches to different question types.
• Provide detailed writing feedback on task fulfillment, organization, vocabulary, and grammar.
• Conduct speaking practice and give feedback on fluency, coherence, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
• Track students’ progress and recommend focused practice.
Teachers specializing in particular skills are welcome to apply. Please specify whether you teach IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training, or both, and which skills you cover.
Students:
• Students are minors under the age of 18.
Lesson Format:
• One-to-one online lessons.
• Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.
• Lessons are taught in English.
Working Hours:
Part-time and full-time opportunities are available within 13:00–23:00 China Standard Time (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8).
• Part-time: Provide a 4-hour availability block within the peak teaching window of 18:00–23:00.
• Full-time: Provide 8 hours of availability per day, including 4 hours during the peak teaching window. The remaining 4 hours may be selected flexibly within 13:00–23:00.
Scheduling and Payment:
• Both part-time and full-time teachers are paid for completed lessons.
• Lessons are scheduled based on the availability you provide, so you do not need to manage bookings yourself.
Qualifications:
• Experience teaching IELTS preparation and a strong understanding of the test format and assessment criteria.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to identify learning gaps and provide specific, actionable feedback.
• Experience teaching teenagers and adapting lessons to different proficiency levels.
• A degree in English, education, linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
• Reliable internet access and a suitable environment for online teaching.
