
Title: Online English Tutor (Long-term Partnership) – Education Major Preferred
1. Job Overview
Student Group:
Chinese teenagers aged 6 to 16.
Course Content:
Course themes include, but are not limited to, daily conversation, real-life scenarios communication, cross-cultural communication, discussions on current events, and opinion sharing.
Teaching Format:
Group classes (one teacher with multiple students), typically 3 to 8 students per class. Each class runs 40 to 50 minutes, with duration varying by course theme.
Payment:
Formal classes (40-50 minutes): $7–$15 per class, based on your teaching experience and interview performance.
Trial classes (first class with students): $4.25–$5.75 per class (full pay applies for subsequent classes).
Key Responsibilities:
--Deliver all assigned classes as scheduled.
--Some teachers will assist in developing new courses, including creating PPTs and course handouts in line with the curriculum outline.
--Teaching materials and homework will be provided for some courses; others require independent lesson preparation as specified.
--Provide written feedback on student performance after each class, grade homework, and follow up with feedback to students and parents.
--Be proficient in required software and platforms, such as Classin, We-Chat, and Canva.
--Top-performing teachers may be asked to support promotional activities and live streams, with hours compensated at the standard class rate.
Working Hours
Part-time and full-time positions are available, with hours based on China Standard Time (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8): 9:00–20:00.
Regular weekly availability: Friday evenings (18:00–21:00) and full days on Saturdays and Sundays (10:00–20:00).
During Chinese holidays, winter and summer break, hours are available Monday to Sunday (10:00–20:00). Exact schedules will be updated and notified before each holiday based on annual enrollment.
Part-time teachers are required to work a minimum of 5 hours during peak periods.
Both part-time and full-time teachers are compensated for every class they teach.
We will schedule classes around your available time—no need to worry about conflicting commitments.
