Online Physics Teacher
Compensation:
• $14 per 50-minute lesson.
• $7 per trial lesson (the first lesson with a student). Subsequent lessons are paid at the full rate.
Teaching Content:
• Teach U.S. high school Physics, including motion, forces, energy, momentum, waves, electricity, and magnetism.
• Explain physical concepts clearly and connect them to everyday situations.
• Help students interpret graphs, use equations, and solve numerical problems.
• Develop students’ understanding of experiments, measurements, and data analysis.
• Provide assignment feedback and support preparation for course assessments.
Students:
• Students are minors under the age of 18.
Lesson Format:
• One-to-one online lessons.
• Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.
• Lessons are taught in English.
Working Hours:
Part-time and full-time opportunities are available within 13:00–23:00 China Standard Time (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8).
• Part-time: Provide a 4-hour availability block within the peak teaching window of 18:00–23:00.
• Full-time: Provide 8 hours of availability per day, including 4 hours during the peak teaching window. The remaining 4 hours may be selected flexibly within 13:00–23:00.
Scheduling and Payment:
• Both part-time and full-time teachers are paid for completed lessons.
• Lessons are scheduled based on the availability you provide, so you do not need to manage bookings yourself.
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of physics and familiarity with U.S. high school physics curricula.
• A degree in physics, engineering, science education, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Ability to explain scientific concepts and mathematical reasoning clearly in English.
• Ability to identify misconceptions and adapt explanations to students’ learning needs.
• Experience teaching teenagers; online teaching experience is preferred.
• Confidence using a digital whiteboard, diagrams, and other visual teaching tools.
• Reliable internet access and a suitable environment for online teaching.
• Experience with Edmentum, Apex, or PLATO is a plus.
